The Eve Appeal is the charity that Village Green Quilters have chosen to support and raise funds for.
In March we held a TEA party and raised over £400 for the Eve Appeal.
We are currently making basket blocks donated by our members to raffle as a quilt at a later date in the year.

Press Release - January 2009
Village Green Quilters of Yateley, Hampshire got 2009 off to a good start by raising over £900 with the raffle of their 'basket' quilt at the Farnham Malting's Annual Quilters' Sale in January. Many members of the group produced six-inch fabric patchwork blocks of a basket, traditionally a symbol of the womb, to make a quilt and five cushions. The quilt was kindly machine quilted on a 'long arm' machine by Brigitte Gillespie of Creatif Quilting. The proceeds of the raffle went to support The Eve Appeal, the only UK charity dedicated to funding research into all four gynaecological cancers.
Through the hard work of their members, the group have in various fundraising activities over the past year, raised over £1250 for their chosen charity.
